These Terms and Conditions do not restrict any rights granted to patients under mandatory legislation.

The provision of healthcare is governed by the applicable laws of the Slovak Republic.

Booking an examination, including booking a specific appointment time, is not subject to a charge at Sina Clinic.

2. Services Provided

Sina Clinic provides healthcare through its specialist outpatient clinics, together with related medical, administrative and supplementary services in accordance with its current range of services.

Some healthcare services may be covered by public health insurance, depending on the contractual relationship between the provider and the patient's health insurance company.

Healthcare procedures and services that are not covered by public health insurance, or which may lawfully be provided for a fee payable by the patient, are charged according to the current Sina Clinic price list.

Sina Clinic may also provide administrative and supplementary services beyond healthcare covered by public health insurance, particularly reception services, extended administrative support for patients and other related supplementary services, in accordance with its current price list.

Booking an examination or allocating a specific appointment time is not itself subject to such a charge.

3. Prices

Current prices for paid healthcare, administrative and supplementary services are set out in the applicable Sina Clinic price list.

Patients have the opportunity to obtain information about the price of a paid service before it is provided.

The amount charged will correspond to the price applicable at the time the service is provided or, in the case of advance payment, to the price displayed and accepted when payment is made.

Where the precise scope of a medical procedure cannot reasonably be determined in advance, the patient will be informed of the expected price or the method used to determine the price before the paid service is provided, where the nature of the service allows this.

No charge under the price list applies merely to booking an examination or allocating a specific appointment time.

4. Appointments

Patients may book appointments using the methods currently offered by Sina Clinic, including:

  • by telephone,
  • through electronic services,
  • through the eČakáreň platform,
  • in person at the clinic,
  • by any other method specified on the clinic's website.

Booking a specific appointment time is solely an organisational arrangement for the operation of the clinic and is not itself a paid service.

Sina Clinic makes every reasonable effort to keep to scheduled appointment times. However, due to the nature of healthcare, reasonable delays may occur, particularly because of another patient's urgent medical condition or other unforeseen circumstances.

A scheduled appointment time therefore cannot be regarded as an unconditional guarantee that an examination will begin at an exact minute.

5. Payment Methods

Paid healthcare, administrative and supplementary services may, depending on the options currently available at Sina Clinic, be paid:

  • in cash,
  • by payment card,
  • electronically in advance through eČakáreň or another payment system currently used by the clinic.

For payments made at the clinic, payment may be taken before or after the paid service depending on the nature of the service and the instructions of clinic staff.

Where payment is made in advance, the relevant paid service is considered paid once the payment has been successfully processed.

Payment does not relate to the act of booking the patient or allocating an appointment time.

6. Payments Through eČakáreň

For selected paid healthcare, administrative or supplementary services, Sina Clinic may allow the price of the service to be paid in advance through the eČakáreň platform.

Payment through eČakáreň relates exclusively to a specific paid service listed in the current Sina Clinic price list. It is not a charge for booking an examination or for allocating a specific appointment time.

eČakáreň is an external service with its own terms and conditions and privacy policy.

Technical payment processing, electronic communication and other functionality provided by eČakáreň are governed by the terms applicable to that platform.

The provision of healthcare, paid services, cancellation of a visit and refunds at Sina Clinic are governed by these Terms and Conditions and applicable law.

7. Cancellation of a Visit and Refunds

If a scheduled visit is cancelled, any amount paid in advance will be refunded in full.

If the patient does not attend the scheduled visit without cancelling it in advance, the treatment of any amount paid in advance will be governed by the terms applicable to the specific paid service and by applicable law.

If Sina Clinic cancels the visit or the relevant paid service cannot be provided for reasons attributable to the provider, the patient is entitled either to a full refund or to arrange an alternative appointment.

Refunds will be made using a method compatible with the technical capabilities of the payment system through which the original payment was made.

8. Rescheduling an Appointment

If a patient needs to change the scheduled time of a visit, they may request that it be moved to another available appointment time.

Rescheduling is subject to the availability of suitable appointments and the technical capabilities of the booking system.

Where the patient has paid in advance for a paid service associated with the visit, the amount paid remains allocated to that service and, following successful rescheduling, is transferred to the new appointment time.

If rescheduling is not possible and the patient instead cancels the original visit, the amount paid in advance will be refunded in full in accordance with Article 7.

9. Failure to Attend an Appointment

Patients are responsible for attending their scheduled visit on time.

If a patient does not attend, or arrives so late that the planned healthcare or paid service cannot reasonably be provided without disrupting subsequent clinic operations, it may be necessary to arrange a new appointment.

If the patient does not attend the scheduled visit without cancelling in advance and a paid service associated with the visit has been paid for in advance, the treatment of that amount will be governed by the terms applicable to the specific paid service and by applicable law.

10. Patient Responsibilities

Patients are required to:

  • provide accurate and up-to-date information required for booking and providing healthcare,
  • inform healthcare professionals of circumstances relevant to the safe provision of healthcare,
  • follow reasonable instructions from healthcare staff and respect the clinic's operational rules,
  • inform the clinic of any cancellation or requested change of appointment as soon as possible,
  • pay for healthcare, administrative or supplementary services which are payable by the patient under the current price list.

11. Changes or Cancellation by Sina Clinic

Sina Clinic reserves the right to change or cancel a scheduled appointment where circumstances prevent the service from being provided as originally planned, including:

  • absence or sudden incapacity of a healthcare professional,
  • technical failure,
  • an emergency or exceptional event,
  • urgent operational reasons,
  • other circumstances that the clinic could not reasonably foresee or control.

Where possible, the clinic will inform the patient and offer an alternative appointment.

If the patient has paid in advance for the relevant paid service and does not wish to accept the alternative appointment, the amount paid will be refunded in full.

12. Healthcare and Treatment Outcomes

Healthcare is provided in accordance with current medical knowledge, professional standards, the patient's individual health condition and the capabilities of the relevant clinical department.

The outcome of diagnosis or treatment depends on a range of individual factors and cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Information provided on the Sina Clinic website is for general informational purposes only and does not replace an individual medical examination, diagnosis or advice from a healthcare professional.

13. Complaints and Feedback

If a patient has a concern regarding a payment, administrative service or appointment organisation, they may contact Sina Clinic:

Email: info@sinaclinic.sk

or contact the clinic in person or in writing.

The request should contain sufficient information to identify the relevant service or payment and a clear description of the issue.

Complaints relating to the provision of healthcare will be handled in accordance with applicable legislation.

14. Personal Data Protection

Information about the processing of personal data is provided in the separate Privacy Policy available on the Sina Clinic website.

The processing of personal data when using the eČakáreň platform is also governed by the privacy rules applicable to that platform.

15. Final Provisions

These Terms and Conditions apply to paid services and related relationships between Sina Clinic and patients to the extent that such matters are not governed by mandatory legislation.

Where any provision of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, the mandatory legal provision will prevail.

Sina Clinic may update these Terms and Conditions, particularly following changes in legislation, the price list, booking arrangements or payment conditions.

Unless applicable law provides otherwise, the version of the Terms and Conditions in force at the time the relevant service is booked or paid for will apply to that relationship.

The current version is available at www.sinaclinic.sk.

Effective from: August 2026

This English version is provided for information purposes. In the event of any discrepancy between the Slovak and English versions, the Slovak version shall prevail.
